People, plants and the planet are at the center of everything we do. To formalize our pledge to the world that has given us so much, we’ve become a member of 1% for the Planet. By donating 1% of our annual sales from your purchases of our CBD oil, we’ll all be supporting a greater good.

What is 1% for the Planet?

1% for the Planet, an organization that's also based in Vermont, started when two businesspeople, Yvon Chouinard, the founder of Patagonia, and Craig Mathews, the founder of Blue Ribbon Flies, had a greater vision for giving back to the environment. Their mission was simple: because companies profit from the resources they take from the earth, they should give back to the earth and protect those resources.  Now Sunsoil has joined forces with brands such as Honest Tea, Caudalie, New Belgium Brewing, Klean Kanteen and Kind to support 1% for the Planet, which has certified more than $200 million in support of approved environmental nonprofits.

Why We’re a Member of 1% for the Planet

What drives Sunsoil’s mission is simple: it’s people like you, the plants we grow and our planet. Farming organically is at the core of our business, and we believe in taking responsibility for our environmental impact and leaving the land we farm in better shape than we found it. We’re dedicated to creating a better planet through our organic hemp farming practices, manufacturing operations and overall vision. Becoming a member of 1% for the Planet was one more way Sunsoil could continue to be an earth-first company.

“Currently, only 3% of total philanthropy goes to the environment and, only 5% of that comes from businesses,” says Kate Williams, CEO of 1% for the Planet. “The planet needs bigger support than this. We’re excited to welcome Sunsoil to our global movement of over 1,800 businesses.”

What This Means

1% for the Planet will help Sunsoil make connections to nonprofits that align to our core values. Starting now, every purchase you make of Sunsoil CBD oil will help us give back to environmental causes doing great work in our communities and around the world. We’re thrilled about our 1% partnership and look forward to partnering with organizations in Vermont and around the world to do even more good for people – thanks to your support for Sunsoil.
